A Bush Dance will be held on June 22nd. at the Somerville Community Centre. Dancing will commence at 7pm. BYO picnic hamper and refreshments. It is our way of celebrating 40 years in the life of the Peninsula Folk Club – a sort of birthday party for us.
The band will be made up of PFC members who have put in the time to learn the tunes and songs to be performed. It is planned to use nearly all dance tunes that have been written here in Australia and played by bands such as The Nariel Creek Dance Band, The Gay Charmers and the Wedderburn Old Timers.
All dances will be called by an experienced dance caller so you don’t need to know the dances in advance, but it will help if you know left from right and can follow easy instructions.
Tickets will be $10 per head. Coffee and Tea will be available for a gold coin donation.
